How Our Masking Paper Improves Your Collision Repair
Designed specifically for automotive aftermarket applications, our 3M™ White Masking Paper (PDF, 34 Kb) helps you work more efficiently during a full range of masking jobs large and small. It is durable yet conformable and is available in a variety of sizes, making it easy to handle for protecting even irregular vehicle surfaces from paint overspray. This paper is specially treated to resist penetration by paint solvents, base coats, clear coats and urethanes, reducing rework caused by bleed-through. It also withstands heat — the masking paper can hold up during a bake cycle up to 400°F (204°C) for 30 minutes, making it suitable for use in paint booths.

Its design includes high tolerance to heat, resistance to chemical bleed-through and little or no loose lint or fibers — yet it still affords the easy, fast conformability of paper for truly effective masking.
3M™ Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape 06386 is a .045-inch thick, medium-density black foam tape with high performance acrylic adhesives on both sides and a red release liner.
Acrylic Plus Attachment Tapes are OEM approved and are stronger, higher performing, high stress handling products than other automotive attachment tapes. Typical application areas for 06386 include body side moldings, claddings, rocker panel trim, wheel flares, bumper time and other exterior and interior autmotive trim components.
Two-part urethane used to bond backup strips to SMC and FRP (traditional fiberglass). Fast work time for larger backup strips and patch applications. Longer work time that 08270. Work time = 3 minutes. Clamp time = 10 minutes. Cure time = 30 minutes
MAXIM™ Fast Urethane Adhesive is a urethane repair material used for non-structural repairs on all plastics, fiberglass and SMC. It is an excellent urethane adhesive for bonding bumper brackets, backing strips, broken SMC/fiberglass pieces and other broken plastic pieces. It is the ideal product when a fast cure time is required (i.e. backside of a two-sided repair.)
